Four Great Colleges

The four Los Rios colleges – American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, and Sacramento City College – serve nearly 70,000 students throughout the Sacramento region. Our colleges offer a wide array of engaging degree, transfer, and certificate programs to help students into careers they've always dreamed of.


American River College

American River College is the largest college in the Los Rios district. It is located on the northern edge of Sacramento and has five satellite campuses – the Mather Center, the Natomas Center, the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Center, and Twin Rivers. Its mascot is Bucky the Beaver.

Cosumnes River College (CRC) the third largest college in the Los Rios district. It is located on the southern edge of Sacramento and takes its name from the Cosumnes River, which flows just a few miles to the south. CRC has a satellite campus in Elk Grove, California. Its mascot is Hawkeye the Hawk.

Folsom Lake College is the fourth largest college in the Los Rios district. It is located on the eastern edge of Sacramento County in Folsom and takes its name from Folsom Lake, which is just a few miles to the north. Folsom Lake College has two satellite campuses – the El Dorado Center and the Rancho Cordova Center – and is also home to the Harris Center for the Arts. Its mascot is Falco the Falcon.

Sacramento City College is the second largest college in the Los Rios district. It is located south of downtown in Sacramento and has two satellite campuses – the Davis Center and the West Sacramento Center. Its mascot is the Panther.
