Clubs and Student Leadership
There is nothing more powerful than our students' voices – that's why Los Rios is committed to ensuring a significant role for students in shaping the policy and academic direction of our colleges. The Los Rios colleges exist to serve students, and we owe it to them to listen. We encourage all of our students to get involved on their campus.
Student Government at Our Campuses
Our colleges have active and engaged student government organizations, with new leaders elected annually. Learn about student leadership at each of the Los Rios colleges.
ARC Associated Student Body
ARC's Associated Student Body (ASB) is the officially recognized student group that represents all students on campus. Elected representatives and student committees ensure the student voice is represented in all decision-making. The ASB promotes activities on campus that stimulate the intellectual and social life of our students.
Associated Students of CRC
The Associated Students of Cosumnes River College (ASCRC) is the student government of the college. It's comprised of two leadership teams: the Student Senate (SS) and the Clubs and Events Board (CAEB).
Associated Students of FLC
ASFLC represents the interests and welfare of students through its elected officials and representatives. Additionally, ASFLC encourages student participation in college affairs and promotes understanding among students, faculty, and administration.
SCC Student Associated Council
The Student Associated Council (SAC) is a team of student leaders who represent the voice of the student body. Everyone can be included, there are lots of ways to get involved. SAC is composed of three different groups: the Student Senate, the Clubs and Events Board (CAEB), and the Joint-Budget Committee.
Districtwide Student Representation
In addition to campus-based student government, Los Rios students are represented at the district level by an elected student trustee. The Student Advisory Committee brings together student leaders from all four colleges to collaborate and share ideas.
Student Advisory Committee
The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) provides a forum for communication and exchange of ideas, information, and concerns among students.
Student Trustee
A student trustee is elected by students to serve as a non-voting member of the Board of Trustees each year. The student trustee's term is June through May. To be eligible to run for student trustee, a student must be enrolled in at least five units.
