The student trustee is the student voice on the board of trustees.
The student trustee represents the interests of the entire community and provides perspective to ensure that future students will be well-served. In addition to serving on the board of trustees, the student trustee chairs the Student Advisory Committee, which provides a forum for communication and exchange of ideas, information, and concerns among students.
To be eligible to run for student trustee, a student must be:
- A California resident
- Enrolled in at least five units at any Los Rios college
- In good standing of attendance (grade point average of at least 2.0) and not on academic probation
The term of office is one year and runs from June through May.
Student trustee elections are held during the spring semester each year. The next election will be held in 2025.

Academically, Mehdi is pursuing a pre-med track with a steadfast ambition to specialize in oncology. With a dedication to rigorous study and a compassionate approach to patient care, Mehdi aims to contribute significantly to the field of oncology and the well-being of future patients.
In addition to academic and environmental pursuits, Mehdi is an avid sports enthusiast. Whether playing on the field, supporting local teams, or engaging in community sports events, Mehdi understands the value of teamwork, perseverance, and a healthy, active lifestyle.
