Apply to Run for Student Trustee
The deadline to apply to run for the student trustee position is 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31. Apply today!
Elections for the student trustee position will be held on April 21 and 22, 2026.
To be eligible to run for student trustee, a student must be:
- A California resident
- Enrolled in at least five units at any Los Rios college
- In good standing of attendance (grade point average of at least 2.0) and not on academic probation
The term of office is one year and runs from June through May.
Student trustee elections are held during the spring semester each year. The next election will be held on April 21 and 22, 2026.
Application and Petition Materials
Applicants for student trustee must submit the following application and collect a minimum of 50 student signatures by the deadline of March 31 at 5:00 pm. Download the 2026 Student Trustee Petition.
