Los Rios Celebrates APIDA Heritage Month

April is Asian, Pacific Islander, Demi American (APIDA) Heritage Month. This year's theme, Breaking Barriers and Empowering Our Community, aims to honor the contributions that generations of APIDA communities have made to American history, society, and culture and share these with our campus community.

Formerly known as Asian Pacific American Heritage (APAH) Week, this celebration has evolved – in length and in name – to acknowledge the federally designated Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month that is observed annually nationwide during the month of May.
