Los Rios Transitions to Nelnet for Financial Aid Disbursements and Refunds
Los Rios is transitioning from BankMobile to Nelnet for student disbursements and refunds, including financial aid refunds, scholarships, emergency funds, grants, and stipends.
Students can access Nelnet through the Los Rios Apps Dashboard (Okta) to select and manage how they receive their funds. Los Rios may continue issuing paper checks until Nelnet is fully operational and the process is working effectively and securely.

BankMobile FAQ
Why haven't I received my disbursement and/or refund through BankMobile?
The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office directed colleges to pause financial aid disbursements through BankMobile while security concerns and related high-risk activity were being addressed.
Los Rios stopped using BankMobile for disbursements and moved to paper checks. We are now transitioning to Nelnet for upcoming student refunds and disbursements.
Will I still receive my disbursement and/or refund?
If you are eligible and authorized for a disbursement, Los Rios will process your refund through the available disbursement process.
The transition from BankMobile to Nelnet does not, by itself, change your financial aid eligibility. Contact your college Financial Aid Office with questions about your individual status.
How will I receive my refund, if not through BankMobile?
As soon as Nelnet is operational, refunds will be processed through Nelnet using the available refund options. In the interim, paper checks will be mailed to the mailing address listed in eServices.
Continue to monitor your Los Rios Gmail for instructions and updates.

No, Los Rios has stopped using BankMobile for disbursements and refunds.
Who should I contact about fraud or an unresolved BankMobile claim?
Contact BankMobile's dedicated Los Rios customer service line at (877) 334-1015 if your account has been compromised, funds are missing, or you need help with an unresolved fraud claim.
If you already have a claim or support ticket, provide that number when following up. Ask whether any documents or actions are still required from you, request a status update, and keep a record of the conversation.
What should I do if funds were stolen or I cannot access my BankMobile account?
Contact BankMobile's dedicated Los Rios customer service line at (877) 334-1015 to open a claim or support ticket and complete its fraud recovery process. BankMobile may require documents to verify your identity.
Keep copies of all communications, including claim or ticket numbers, emails, screenshots, and the dates and details of phone conversations. Continue following up on unresolved cases.
Los Rios continues pressing BankMobile to resolve affected students' cases. We cannot promise a specific outcome or timeline for BankMobile to restore access or return funds.
Am I still eligible for financial aid?
The transition from BankMobile to Nelnet does not, by itself, change your financial aid eligibility. Review your Financial Aid information in eServices or contact your college Financial Aid Office with questions about your eligibility, award, or disbursement.
Why were BankMobile disbursements paused?
Security concerns and related high-risk activity involving BankMobile prompted the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office to direct colleges to pause disbursements through the vendor.
