PeopleSoft eServices Outage

PeopleSoft eServices continues to experience significant performance issues. Though the system is not completely offline, it is operating so slowly that users may be unable to log in or complete transactions.

Financial Aid Update

Due to the recent eServices disruption, some financial aid processing activities were interrupted. As a result, the first Pell Grant disbursement will be delayed.

This is a delay, not a loss of financial aid. Students whose aid has been awarded and cleared for disbursement will receive the full amount they are due once processing is complete.

We understand that many students depend on financial aid to pay for books, supplies, transportation, housing, and other educational expenses. We are taking the following steps to reduce the impact of this delay:

  • The $450 bookstore voucher program has been extended through at least August 28, 2026, so eligible students can continue purchasing required course materials.
  • Bookstore voucher availability is being expanded to students who became eligible after August 22, 2026. Students should check their email for specific voucher information.
  • We are working toward issuing both Pell Grant and state financial aid funds on September 4, 2026.

September 4 is our current target date. We will provide additional updates if circumstances change.

If you are experiencing food or housing insecurity, assistance may be available through your college's Basic Needs Center. If this delay creates an immediate financial hardship, contact your college's Basic Needs Center to learn about available support. Visit Basic Needs Resources for information and assistance.

Guidance for Students

Another immediate priority is helping students get into the correct classes as quickly as possible. Please review the following guidance.

Adding or Dropping a Class

The deadline to drop classes without penalty will be extended until the system issue is resolved.

If you have a permission number and need to add a class – or if you need to drop a class and cannot complete the transaction through eServices – fill out the Add/Drop Request form and email it to the Admissions and Records Office at the college offering the class:

Complete all applicable sections and submit the form as soon as possible so the college can begin processing your request.

Accessing Classes and Course Materials

You can access Canvas directly using your student ID and Los Rios password.

While your enrollment is pending, continue attending class when possible and stay in contact with your instructor. If you need access to course materials, provide your instructor with your permission number and student ID. Your instructor may be able to add you directly to the course in Canvas while your enrollment request is being processed.

If the eServices issue prevented you from viewing your schedule or caused you to miss or arrive late to a class, contact your instructor. Faculty have been asked not to drop students for absences or late arrivals related to the disruption and, when feasible, to allow students attempting to add a class to continue attending while enrollment is pending.

Parking Permits

If you are unable to purchase a parking permit through eServices, you may still park on campus. Parking permit requirements will not be enforced until the system issues have been resolved.

Fee Payments and Transit Passes

You may be unable to pay fees or complete transactions related to transit passes while the system issues persist. We will work to ensure students are not disadvantaged because they were unable to complete a time-sensitive transaction during the disruption.

Our IT team continues to work around the clock to identify the cause and restore normal service. Please contact the appropriate college office if you need help with an urgent issue.

We sincerely apologize for the disruption and the inconvenience and frustration it has caused. We appreciate your patience as we work to restore eServices and ensure financial aid is processed accurately and delivered as quickly as possible. We will continue to share updates as additional information becomes available.
