Bookstore Changes Coming in July 2026

Los Rios Community College District's online bookstore is being updated this summer.

What Students Need to Know

• Continue using the bookstore links on our websites and within eServices and Canvas to purchase textbooks, supplies, and merchandise.
• The online bookstore will move to a new provider (Barnes & Noble) in July.
• Students will use the updated bookstore links once the new store launches.

On-Campus Bookstore Closures

Effective July 1, 2026, we will no longer have on-campus bookstores at Cosumnes River College and Folsom Lake College. American River College and Sacramento City College will continue to have physical campus bookstore locations that students can visit in person.

• Students at all campuses will have full online access to purchase textbooks, course materials, supplies, and college merchandise.
• Students from all campuses will be able to make purchases at the ARC and SCC on-campus bookstores.

Temporary Service Interruption

The bookstore transition is expected to occur between July 1 and July 13, 2026. Students should plan ahead if they need textbooks, supplies, or merchandise during this period.

During this time:

• Online bookstore services may be temporarily unavailable.
• Physical bookstore locations at ARC and SCC will be closed.

After the Transition

Beginning July 13, students can continue using the bookstore links provided on our websites and within eServices and Canvas to purchase textbooks, supplies, and merchandise. Students from all campuses will be able to make purchases at the ARC and SCC on-campus bookstores.

Important Dates

• June 30, 2026: Last day to use the current online bookstore.
• July 1 through 13, 2026: Transition period; on-campus bookstores are closed. Online bookstore services may be temporarily unavailable.
• July 13, 2026: ARC and SCC on-campus bookstores open; online bookstore is live and linked from websites, eServices, and Canvas.
