General Obligation Bonds
Bond Measure A
In 2002, voters passed a $265 million general obligation bond to fund several building modernizations and new construction projects throughout the Los Rios Community College District. Projects included (but were not limited to):
- American River College – a modernization and expansion of the physical education building, an expansion to the library, a new allied health complex, and a modernization of the Fine Arts building.
- Cosumnes River College – a modernization and expansion of the science building, a new classroom building and learning resource center, and an expansion of the campus bookstore.
- Folsom Lake College – a new classroom building, a new college administration building, and a new visual and performing arts center (the Harris Center).
- Sacramento City College – a new cafeteria, a modernization of the technology classroom building, a new fine arts building and a modernization of the north gym facility.
Bond Measure M
In 2008, the voters passed a $475 million general obligation bond to fund several building modernizations and new construction projects throughout the district. Projects included (but were not limited to):
- American River College – a new student center, an expansion to the student services center and the culinary arts facility, and a new fine arts and life sciences building.
- Cosumnes River College – a new architecture/construction classroom building (the Winn Center), new athletic fields, a new art gallery expansion to the performing arts building, and an expansion to the college administration building.
- Folsom Lake College – phase 1 of the new Rancho Cordova Center, new athletic fields, and a new gymnasium/physical education building.
- Sacramento City College – a modernization of the performing arts center, a new science building, a modernization of the football stadium (Hughes Stadium), and a new classroom building.
